Chalice Camp Goes Online This Year!

Chalice Camp will be virtual this year, as we continue to be careful not to spread the pandemic. Each day of camp will have a few Zoom calls, some offline craft projects, and some on-demand videos and stories to watch as you like. Supplies for craft projects will be put together in kits to pick up on the Sunday before camp, along with a tie-dye project to be done at the time you pick up supplies.

You do not have to be a member of this congregation – camp is open to all, but we ask you to register and commit to as much attendance during the week as possible.

Free! This camp is our gift to the community and we want it to be truly accessible to all. If you are able, however, we will gladly accept donations of up to $100 per child, to enable us to continue offering this camp every year.

Camps:

The Rainbow Path June 29th to July 3rd

Animals of the Pacific Northwest July 6-10

How will virtual camp work?

Open House Supply Pick Up on Sunday Afternoon: campers come by OUUC to tie dye a tshirt and pick up their craft supplies for the week, socially distanced in the parking lot
Zoom Meetings: there will be three zoom calls each day: 9am, 11am, and 2:30pm
On Demand Videos of songs, stories, and lessons will be available to access whenever campers want
Crafts to do on your own: special supplies will be provided, and kids can make crafts during the day. There will be a show and tell at the 2:30 Zoom meeting
The first week of camp will be themed on the UU 7 Principles and “The Rainbow Path”, while the 2nd week will be themed on Animals of the PNW. Both weeks are open to children of all ages.
